SENATE: New Songs Posted Online
July 26, 2009Canadian metallers SENATE have posted three new songs on their MySpace page. The tracks "The Whore", "Gods And Alcoholics" and "Grailblazer" were produced by Julius Butty (PROTEST THE HERO) at Silo studio in Smithville, Ontario, Canada and are the band's first to feature new drummer George Parfitt (ex-THREAT SIGNAL).
Commented the group: "We intended to record four songs and release it as an EP. However, the plans changed the moment we decided to make a major lineup change, and realized how close we actually are to being able to make a fantastic record as long as we get a little support and capital infusion!
"What [we] can assure you of is that we are a FAR better band today because of the changes we've made in the past few weeks. We are re-energized, hungry and focused and we have a full lineup of guys who actually care about SENATE and respect the work that goes into being an independent band starting at the bottom, instead of just a couple guys who care. Most importantly, we have added people who respect the fact that there are many people who care about SENATE, the FANS who deserve to have a band that doesn't have to turn a blind eye to opportunity, cancel shows etc. This band is the number one musical priority for all of us now, and that feels great to say!"
SENATE's current lineup:
Matt DiFranco - Vocals
Jay Siebert - Lead Guitar
Jayson Hudson - Rhythm Guitar
George Parfitt - Drums
Joshua Case - Bass
SENATE's debut album, "The Great Northern Scenekill", was released in 2007.
